Organisers gearing up for Cosford Food Festival

Date fixed for July gastronomic feast.

This summer, food lovers from across the Midlands are expected to descend on the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford for the annual Cosford Food Festival, with some of the region’s finest artisan produce, tastiest treats and best cooked dishes all on offer. Taking place on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th July, this food festival with a twist, will take place outdoors with the giant Hercules aircraft acting as a backdrop for the bustling food market.

Following on from the success of the first two festivals which have seen over 15,000 people attend, around 80 exhibitors from across Shropshire, Staffordshire and the West Midlands will be tempting visitors with a wide range of exquisite local, fresh and handmade produce not available from your average supermarket store. With everything from organic produce to handmade indulgences and thirst quenching beverages on offer, there is sure to be something to suit everyone’s taste buds.

Organisers have been thrilled with the response so far from local businesses signing up to exhibit at this year’s festival and have been busy processing application forms. With popular exhibitors from previous year’s signing up to return and a huge amount of interest from brand new producers, this year’s festival is set to be the biggest and the best yet.

With less than seven weeks left until exhibitor booking closes, organisers are encouraging any local food and drink suppliers wishing to be part of this year’s event to get in touch. So, if you’re a local business with a devilishly tasty offer and want to be involved in the food festival that will kick start the Summer, get in touch before 31st March to book your place, email whatson-cosford@rafmuseum.org

RAF Museum Cosford Public Events Manager Abi Betteridge said: “The positive feedback we have received from past exhibitors and their eagerness to sign up for this year’s festival is overwhelming. It’s great to see so many fantastic award winning producers wanting to get on board and be part of the event. The Cosford Food Festival really brings together and showcases some of the very best food and drink the Midlands has to offer.”

With organisers busy planning additional entertainment for this year’s festival, they are confident the event will not only appeal to food lovers but also families who are looking for a great day out.
