Aztec Weekend returns to Cadbury World

Spice up the winter with chilli and chocolate.

Cadbury World will be adding some extra spice next weekend, as its Aztec Weekend returns from Saturday 7th–Sunday 8th February.

Visitors to the special Aztec-themed weekend will be transported 1,000 years back in time through the Aztec Jungle, where they can learn about the exotic origins of the cocoa bean whilst sampling Emperor Montezuma’s favourite chilli chocolate drink. Young explorers should also be on the lookout for a life size statue of the emperor, who will be surprising onlookers and posing for photographs throughout the weekend.

There’s lots more to uncover as visitors continue on their Cadbury World journey, ensuring a day that’s choc-full of fun for the whole family. From hearing about the fascinating story of Cadbury chocolate and watching a chocolatier in action in the popular Chocolate Making zone, to meeting the infamous drumming gorilla in Advertising Avenue, the attraction’s fourteen zones make for a great day out.

Cadbury World is also home to the new 4D Chocolate Adventure zone, which launched last year. The interactive cinema experience gives visitors the opportunity to dive into a pot of melted Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate, ride the Crunchie Rollercoaster and take to the skies in a Cadbury Creme Egg airship piloted by the Caramel Bunny, helping to bring the Cadbury magic to life.

With lots more on offer, including the World’s Biggest Cadbury Shop, stocked with all the Cadbury favourites, as well as the Cadbury Café and African Adventure play area for children, the attraction’s 25th anniversary year promises to be its best ever.

Diane Mitchell, marketing manager at Cadbury World, said: “Aztec Weekend is the perfect opportunity to spice up your February, especially with a taster of the chilli chocolate drink! It’s been a really popular event in previous years, so we’re delighted to bring it back to start off our 25th anniversary year.”
