Hyatt unveils new look following refurbishment.
Invited guests were treated to an evening of drinks, canapés and revelry at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham launch event last week.
On Thursday 6th November, the hotel officially unveiled its brand new look to the region’s VIPs following the completion of its impressive multi-million pound refurbishment.
Located in the heart of Birmingham city centre, the £6 million refurbishment has seen all of the hotel’s 319 luxury bedrooms, its ballroom, suites, and eight conference rooms undergo a complete revamp.
As part of the refurbishment, the hotel has created a brand new bistro pub – The Gentleman & Scholar – which opens onto Broad Street with a stunning heated terrace. Open to both guests and non-guests, the bar is styled on a traditional tavern with a contemporary twist.
As well as indulging in the hotel’s delicious food and drink, guests were let loose in the Hyatt’s Gentleman & Scholar themed photo booth and entertained with music by Andy Sachs. A raffle prize draw raised money for the Hyatt’s charity partner, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and – tying in with the Gentleman & Scholar theme – Movember.
Mario Flanagan, general manager at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham said: “After months of planning, building and investment, we are thrilled to have officially unveiled our brand new-look to the general public. We are especially excited about the launch of our bistro pub, The Gentleman & Scholar. The aim was to create a space that feels like it has its own identity, separate from the hotel and we’ve certainly achieved that.
“This major investment is a significant vote of confidence in Birmingham by Hyatt and will see the hotel maintain its position alongside some of the very best hotels in the country. The launch event was a huge success and it was great to see so many faces from the region come together to celebrate the launch of our new and improved facilities!”
