Innovative view of city centre venue.
A meeting and event space in the heart of Birmingham has enlisted the help of a recent graduate to offer a unique look at the options available for conference organisers.
Thestudio has partnered with Matt Fear, a Freelance Architectural Visualisation Artist, to create a complete set of 3D plans for its website. The plans showcase the wide range of facilities on offer at the venue, allowing organisers to visualise the space in a range of set ups, to help them find the one to best meet their needs.
An architecture graduate from the University of Manchester, 24-year-old Matt works closely with architects, developers and designers to create photorealistic computer-generated images (CGI’s) of housing, offices and even music festival layouts. Having worked with events companies previously to develop apps and floor plans, Matt was drawn to thestudio’s refreshingly creative approach to conferences and events and arranged an initial meeting to pitch his idea for the 3D plans.
Thestudio is home to creative and colourful meeting and events solutions, offering state-of-the-art rooms and facilities which can be adapted to meet a variety of needs. With options to cater for between two and 250 people, and with nearly 200 separate layout variations including theatre, classroom, boardroom and dinner, the range of possibilities can pose difficult decisions for organisers new to thestudio concept.
Emma Jennings, managing director at thestudio said: “Matt came to us with an inventive idea that we could see the potential in straight away, and he completely understood our ethos as a brand which made our decision to go ahead very simple!
“We’ve already had some great feedback on the easy to use plans, which give a great visual representation of what you can expect when hosting conferences and events at thestudio. The 3D plans tick all of the boxes for us, and we’re absolutely thrilled with the end result.”
Matt Fear, the founder of Matt Fear Visualisations, commented: “Thestudio was one of my most challenging projects to date, owing to the seemingly endless possibilities with each room. The creative freedom that the team gave to me allowed me to come up with a more bespoke solution for both the Birmingham and Manchester venues, which both work fantastically well at showcasing all that thestudio has to offer.
“My background working as an Events Supervisor for a hotel gave me a unique insight into some of the problems that event organisers face when searching for a venue. It was frustrating for both parties to find that things weren’t quite right, but these 3D plans are the perfect way to ease any issues and ensure both the client and the venue know what the end result will be.
“Working for thestudio has been a fantastic experience, and it was great to work with such a playful and refreshing brand. I look forward to working closely with them going forward on the existing plans, and other new projects!”
