Kings Heath crawlers

Raise laughs and money as part of the Birmingham Comedy Festival.

The Kings Heath Charity Shop Crawl is the most giving event of the Birmingham Comedy Festival. Instead of paying to give your attention and adoration to one of the legions of fantastic comedians performing, participants get to give their pounds to charity, become part of the festival, and, as the fashion week finishes, find their look for the new season.

The idea is simple, everyone gathers at lunchtime at a fixed point in Kings Heath, then makes their way through 11 of the charity shops in B14, making a fresh and probably exciting purchase in each one. You wear what you buy, and you put it on as you go, so the outfits take shape as the day goes on. Then, fully dressed everyone goes to the pub – and provides the laughs for whoever may be in there. It’s hugely entertaining – and the charity shops do well out of it too.

The Charity Shop Crawl takes place from 13:30 on the 4th of October. For more details contact: www.facebook.com/events/1481703622116831
