Breaking down mental health stigma in Birmingham.
Arts All Over The Place are a local committee of people from Birmingham who looking to put positive Mental Health awareness on the map. They are doing this by staging a jam-packed, exciting and eclectic free Poetry, Performance and Everything Else Festival in Birmingham starting on Thursday 2nd October. The series of events culminates on World Mental Health Day, Friday 10th October.
The Festival and exhibition showcases the creative talents of people from Birmingham who have experienced mental health problems. There will be free workshops in Dance, Drama, Storytelling, Pottery and French Knitting and much more. These events seek to break down stigma and to encourage the general public to pop in and enjoy the artwork and workshops on offer. People will also be able to access information and chat to exhibitors and volunteers.
