Promotional boost for city centre development.
Brindleyplace has signed two exclusive deals, appointing companies to manage the promotional space and media sales for the popular business and leisure destination.
Leading international destination media specialist SpaceandPeople has been appointed to manage promotional and brand experience activity in Brindleyplace, whilst Birmingham based Publishing Ink has been tasked with selling advertising space in Brindleyplace’s quarterly magazine, The Mix, as well as on the estate’s website.
Lydia Ellis, marketing manager at Brindleyplace, said: “Following a tough selection process, both SpaceandPeople and Publishing Ink really impressed us with their knowledge of the market place, their commitment and creative ideas. Since appointing SpaceandPeople last month, we have already seen interest in the promotional space at Brindleyplace increase by around 15%.
“Attracting more than four million visitors each year and having in excess of 10,000 employees based on the estate every day, Brindleyplace presents a fantastic opportunity for people wanting to target both the business community in Birmingham and our leisure visitors. Recent statistics also revealed that Brindleyplace has the most prosperous audience in the city so we are a great location for brands wanting to interact with a high end consumer.”
The value of both contracts is approximately £200,000, representing the increasing popularity of Brindleyplace amongst companies wanting to target the estate’s unique demographic.
Brindleyplace has seen a number of companies use its promotional space over recent years, including HSBC, BMW Mini and Peroni. Popular television programmes have also chosen the estate as a regular filming location, such as Hustle, Doctors and The Gadget Show. Nick Hill, sales director at SpaceandPeople, said: “Brindleyplace offers large external promotional spaces which are ideal for brand experience, events and product launches. Its mix of business and leisure visitors makes it a fantastic venue to effectively engage with both sets of target markets in a truly unique setting.”
Andrew Riley, Managing Director at Publishing Ink, added: “We are really excited to add the Brindleyplace products to our portfolio and we know The Mix magazine is very well read and interacted with so provides a great opportunity for brands wishing to reach a highly desirable audience.”
A canalside development, Brindleyplace is located adjacent to the National Indoor Arena and International Convention Centre. As a leading business location, Brindleyplace is home to multiple high profile companies such as Deloitte, RBS and Deutsche Bank, as well as popular leisure destinations including the Crescent Theatre, Ikon gallery and the National SEA LIFE Centre. Brindleyplace is owned by Hines and Moorfield.
