Harborne restaurant hosts charity evening

Hospice to benefit from champagne event.

Award-winning restaurant Henry Wong in Harborne is set to welcome more than 75 guests through its doors at a charity evening in aid of St Mary’s Hospice.

Taking place on Wednesday 30th July 2014, the ticketed event will see guests enjoy a three course banquet and Laurent Perrier Champagne reception before participating in a food and wine matching master class.

Hosted in partnership with BYWine, the interactive master class will teach visitors how to appreciate quality champagne and how to taste the difference between a Sauvignon and a Chardonnay.

Marianne Ho, general manager at Henry Wong, said: “We’re pleased to be able to welcome the BYWine team to Henry Wong, and are confident that the event will be enjoyed by all involved. Tickets have already completely sold out so the theme of the evening is clearly popular.”

Laura Clay, partner at BYWine, added: “The aim of the master class is to give Henry Wong guests a basic knowledge of how to pair foods and wines successfully, and raise funds for an extremely deserving cause at the same time.”

All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to St Mary’s Hospice, an end of life facility in Birmingham which ensures high quality of care to terminally ill patients.
