Coming up at Artrix

Half-term fun as well as grown-up attractions.

CBeebies’ favourite double act Chris and Pui are looking forward to seeing lots of little people and their families at Artrix during the half-term break.

The popular duo will be performing songs, rhymes and comedy sketches at the School Drive venue on Tuesday 27th May at 11.00 am and 2.00 pm. There will be plenty of audience participation during the show as poor Old MacDonald has lost his animals and they need your help to find them! Along the way you can join in the fun and meet Incy, Humpty, the Duke of York, King Cole and Little Bo Peep. Teddies and other favourite toys are welcome too but please hang onto them.

During the half-term break there will also be screenings of Rio2 in which Blue, Jewel and their feathered family are catapulted from safe domesticity in Rio to the wilds of the Amazon.

Chris and Pui are appearing at Artrix on Tuesday 27th May at 11 am and 2.00 pm. Tickets cost £12 (£10 under 16s) and family tickets are £40. Rio2 is showing on 24th, 26th, 28th and 29th May at 2.30 pm and tickets cost £6.00(£5.00) and £3.00 for accompanied children under 16.

War, family rivalry and comedy are all rolled into one in a Shakespearian play to be screened at Artrix on 28th May. Henry IV’s crown is under threat from enemies both foreign and domestic as he prepares for war in the RSC’s production of Henry IV Part 1.

Having deposed the previous king, he is only too aware how tenuous his position is, and the price to be paid if he falters. Meanwhile Prince Hal is languishing in the taverns and brothels of London, revelling in the company of his friend and comic genius the notorious Sir John Falstaff.

With the onset of the war, Hal and Falstaff are thrust into the brutal reality of the battlefield, where Hal must confront his responsibilities to family and throne.

Antony Sher returns to the RSC to play the infamous Falstaff. He is joined by Jasper Britton as Henry IV and Alex Hassell as Prince Hal.

Henry IV Part II will be screened on 2nd July.

RSC Live (delayed) presents Henry IV Part 1 on screen at Artrix cinema on Wednesday 28th May at 7.00 pm. Tickets cost £14
