Visit the Aztecs at Cadbury World

Cadbury World will be giving visitors a sizzling chocolatey adventure during its Aztec Weekend, from Saturday 8th– Sunday 9th February.

Visitors to the special Aztec themed weekend will be transported 1,000 years back in time to sample Emperor Montezuma’s favourite chilli chocolate drink and learn about the exotic origins of the cocoa bean. A life size statue of the emperor will also be surprising onlookers and offering photo opportunities for excited youngsters.

There will also be plenty of family activities at the attraction over the weekend, with Aztec inspired arts and crafts on offer to keep little hands and minds busy. Children will get to have a go at creating fun, authentic-style Aztec headdresses, and there will also be family entertainment in the on-site marquee.

Those looking to sit down and recharge after their adventures will be able to enjoy spicy themed refreshments at the Cadbury Café. The newly revamped restaurant includes life-sized Cadbury dairy milk cows, as well as a special chilli con carne with a chocolatey twist available during the Aztec Weekend.

Diane Mitchell, marketing manager at Cadbury World, said: “The Aztec Weekend is perfect for chocolate lovers looking to spice up their February. The weekend always proves very popular with visitors so we’ve brought it back again this year.

“Visitors seeking entertainment should head to the marquee for a set of performances including magicians and ventriloquists whilst crafty little ones can make fancy headwear, ensuring there is fun to be had by all. Those feeling mighty adventurous can even sample Emperor Montezuma’s famous chilli chocolate drink – but only if they are brave enough!”

In addition to Cadbury World’s seasonal activities visitors will also have the chance to explore Cadbury World’s amazing zones, from the magical Cadabra ride to seeing Bull Street where John Cadbury first opened his shop in 1824.

Later in the month a special Valentine’s Weekend is in store for those wanting to melt the hearts of loved ones, on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th February. A real-life painted cherub will be visiting the attraction, and special hand-crafted chocolate hearts will be available to buy in the World’s Biggest Cadbury Shop.
