Potential In-sight into new careers.

Birmingham Metropolitan College is holding an In-Sight Careers Event into Uniformed Public Services and Travel & Tourism at its Sutton Coldfield Campus on Tuesday 11thFebruary 2014 between 7.00 pm and 9.00 pm – giving school leavers the opportunity to see how far they can go in the jobs market.

Local pupils and parents have been invited to attend as well as local employers associated with the two professions. Visitors will get the opportunity to have a look at the facilities on offer as well as speaking to staff and lecturers about the levels of courses on offer.

Stella Raphael-Reeves, Director of Sport, Public Services & Travel and Tourism at Birmingham Metropolitan College, said: “This event is ideal for anyone interested in careers in these two professions.  The Travel & Tourism industry is growing faster than manufacturing, retail and financial services with the largest growth area being the cruising industry.  Similarly, Public Services are at the heart of our community and, those pursuing a career in this profession, will be fulfilling a vital role in society.”
