There are a couple of shows worth catching next month at Artix, Bromsgrove.
Comedian Mark Thomas, whose sell-out show 100 Acts of Minor Dissent delighted audiences at the Edinburgh Festival is taking to the stage at Artrix on 12th November.
In this new show, Mark is a man on a mission. Between 13th May 2013 and 13th May 2014 he’ll commit 100 acts of minor dissent. He responds to the senders of junk mail, those irritating people who won’t clear up after their dogs and then moves on to bigger bugbears such as the massive supermarket chains and the outrageous hiking of house prices.
The results are subversive, hilarious and mainly legal. Grab your ticket today and get involved in Mark’s quest to put the world to rights.
Tickets are £15 (£13 concessions)
One of the UK’s most gifted jazz singers is then playing at Artrix on 16th November. Claire Martin has been at the forefront of the British jazz scene for the past 25 years and has won the British Jazz Award no less than six times. She was awarded an OBE for her services to music in 2011.
Claire has recorded 15 albums, collaborating with musical legends such as Stephane Grappelli and Sir Richard Rodney Bennett and regularly co-presents the BBC Radio 3 programme Jazz Line Up with Julian Joseph on top of her busy touring schedule.
