London Midland launches new “passenger focused” website

Improvements to online train access.

London Midland has today launched a new-look website which speeds up the process of buying rail tickets and provides faster access to live travel information and updates.

A lot of behind the scenes modifications have been made, which means the website is now optimised to provide customers with the information they need whether accessing the site from a desktop PC or on the move via a tablet or smartphone.

The ticket booking function is now much more prominent and features a ‘buy tickets’ link on every page.  This has improved the website’s functionality as it means customers no longer have to return to the home page to book their tickets for travel.

Another major improvement is the new traffic light system, which gives an immediate indication of any disruption on our rail services.

David Whitley, London Midland’s Head of Marketing said, “Passenger satisfaction is really important to us.  We aim to make a customer’s journey as smooth as possible, from the point at which they begin planning their journey through to arrival at their destination.

“The changes to the website reflect that thinking and we hope our customers will enjoy the website’s new look and find the changes helpful.  A brand new London Midland iPhone and Android App will also be launched later this year, making it even easier for passengers to access information on the move.”
