Mondelez International raises £2,000 at World’s Biggest Coffee Morning

Employees from the home of Cadbury have raised more than £2,000 by taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Staff from Bournville-based Mondelēz International sold cakes and held a raffle in order to raise the grand total of £1,945 for the cancer support charity.

Kelly Farrell, community affairs assistant manager at Mondelēz International, said: “Our employees have fundraised for Macmillan for a number of years and as a business we support their efforts through our cashmatch programme so we are pleased to be able to support the charity once again. Cancer affects so many people throughout the UK and the work of Macmillan is invaluable in providing support for people living with cancer and their families.”

Mondelēz International’s famous Kenco brand is the official coffee partner of The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, which took place on Friday 27th September and aimed to raise more money than ever before for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Rebecca, corporate account manager at Macmillan Cancer Support, said: “This year’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning was a tremendous success and we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone at Mondelēz International who took the time to bake goods, donate or attend the event.Thousands of coffee mornings took place across the country last week and Mondelēz International’s generous contribution will go some way towards helping us reach our ambitious fundraising target.”
