Food festival to serve up a treat

Food lovers from across the Midlands will get the chance to sample some of the region’s best cooked dishes and tastiest treats later this month, as the RAF Museum at Cosford holds its first ever food festival.

Local businesses, including many delicious award winning brands, will be exhibiting some of the region’s finest food and beverages.

Everything from locally-produced bread and cakes to tastes from around the world such as Caribbean spices and exotic kangaroo meat will be available at the event, taking place on 27th-28th July. There will also be an array of wines, ciders, spirits, liqueurs and juices available, which should go down well in the summer weather.

Admission to the event, which runs from 10am-5pm each day is £5 per adult, with family tickets also available, and includes a free Cosford Food Festival programme containing everything you need to know about what’s going on over the weekend and who’s exhibiting.

Visitors also have access to the RAF Museum which is home to over 70 aircraft and the recently salvaged Dornier Do 17.
