A couple of legendary names and a few legendary wannabes take the stage.
On Tuesday there’s a new arrival at the Robin, although he brings with him one of the most famous names in blues history. John Lee Hooker jr is the son of the man himself, although his style is more rooted in the modern era than towards his father’s immortal legacy. He’s been nominated for two Grammies, his 2012 album That’s What the Blues is All About went gold and his funk-edged work has been acclaimed throughout the world.

Wednesday sees another set of seasoned musicians in the shape of southern bluesmen Skinny Molly. Comprising former members of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Molly Hatchet amongst others, the band have built up a reputation for a storming live set which comprises material from their previous bands as well as their own compositions, and their recent album Haywire Riot was released to critical acclaim. Support comes from young British guitarist Mitch Laddie.

On Thursday there’s all-girl Ramones tribute the Ramonas.
Friday sees the return of not just a Robin favourite, but also the best-loved band the Black Country has ever produced. Slade, or at least Dave Hill and Don Powell plus two, prove that they don’t just wake up at Christmas with a set that will be full of their classic hits. Just don’t expect Noddy and Jim to turn up.
