Bromsgrove Operatic Society presents Ruddigore at the Artrix

Bromsgrove Operatic Society bring Ruddigore, also known as the Witch’s curse, to the Artrix on Wednesday 19th June to Sat 22nd June

This superb ghost story, suitable for the whole family, remains sharp and pertinent as it pokes fun at the aristocracy and the relationships between them, their servants and the local folk, whilst the sparking score is full of energy from the riveting to the Grippingly Ghoulish.

Set in a Quaint Cornish fishing village Robin Oakapple is keeping his true identity secret. He is really a baronet who wants a new life, so he fakes his own death to achieve this, leaving his younger brother to inherit his title.

The wit of W.S. Gilbert manifests throughout the plot and with some of Sullivan’s best music added in this is an un-missable event for audiences of all ages.

Performances are on Wednesday 19th June to Saturday 22nd June at 7.30pm and with a matinee performance on Saturday 22nd June at 2.30
