A leading business expert from the University of Wolverhampton will share his thoughts on the modern global economy at a public lecture.
Entitled ‘Rotten Apple? Stories of the Global Economy’, Professor Mike Haynes will use this inaugral lecture to explore how competing stories reflect the ways in which our global economy works.
The lecture will take place in the Millennium City Building in room MC001 on Thursday, 2 May 2013 at the Wolverhampton City Campus, with a reception from 5.30pm and the lecture due to start at 6.30pm.
Professor Haynes said: “From iPads to iPhones companies like Apple deliver us the everyday goods that we desire but what really goes on behind the marketing is a different story that Business Schools need to tell us as students, customers, employees and citizens.”
Mike Haynes is Professor of International Political Economy at the University of Wolverhampton Business School and has written extensively on different aspects of the global economy, including emerging markets.
His research focuses on the human side of development and the way that our lives and deaths have been moulded by the system we live in.
