Primary pupils pit their wits in challenge event

Pupils from five primary schools had to pit their wits against each other in a challenge event hosted by Aldridge School.

Year five pupils took part in the event, which got them to design the future and present their imaginative designs to a panel of judges.

Each team of primary pupils were helped by students from Aldridge School, in Tynings Lane, who act as ambassadors to the primary schools.

Aldridge School Primary Challenge was organized by Education Business Services headed up by Lorenzo Cosco.

He said: “We have been running this challenge at Aldridge School for the past five years. It is an excellent way of building links with the local primary schools and making pupils feel more confident about the move up into a secondary school.

“The pupils have to work in teams with an Aldridge Ambassador and we get some very creative and imaginative presentations at the end of the day-long session.”

The winning team from Leighswood Primary, Broadmedow, came up with their own design for an iPad and impressed judges with their presentation.
