Planning was granted to St. Modwen Homes in January for 19 new homes to be built in addition to the 113 properties already completed at the Park View development located on Lickey Road.

In the same month that construction has started on the second phase of Park View, St. Modwen Homes has been named as a finalist in the National Site Awards 2013 under the Considerate Constructors Scheme in recognition of the housebuilder’s work on the first phase of the residential development.

The National Site Awards are given to the highest scoring 7.5 per cent of sites across the UK which have been completed in the previous year. The awards recognise sites’ exceptional standards of consideration towards local neighbourhoods and the general public, the workforce and the environment. Park View has been selected from 8500 eligible sites to win either a bronze, silver or gold award at a ceremony in April.

Neil Simpson, sales and marketing director for St. Modwen Homes said: “We have worked closely with existing residents, local groups and schools – conducting public consultations, site tours and safety visits – to ensure we are working alongside the local community during all stages of construction at Park View. It is a great achievement for our construction team to have been recognised in the National Site Awards, not only for ensuring a high quality build programme but also their consideration to those people who live and work in the area.

“The new phase of housing at Park View will deliver a small selection of beautifully designed two and three bedroom semi-detached and terraced houses, all for private sale and suited to first time buyers and families in the area. The properties will be launched to the public in the next few months and our aim is to have the site build complete by the end of the year.”

The houses are being built to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 and 4 with the highest quality fixtures and fittings and boast designs that are sympathetic to the local architecture.

Just two homes remain for sale in the first phase of Park View, both of which are four bedroom detached Rednal properties, priced from £229,500.

To find out more about these remaining properties visit the marketing suite, located off Lickey Road, which is open for visitors seven days a week between 10am and 6pm. Alternatively call the St. Modwen Homes sales team on 0844 243 4545 or visit www.parkview-longbridge.co.uk.
