Tamco 8pm (Doors: 7.30pm)
Led by Smith And Mighty collaborator Tammy Payne, and bassist Jim Barr (Portishead, Get the Blessing), Tamco take folk and rock classics and deconstruct to fit their psychedelic jazz-rock tastes. Tammy is a singer with a soulful flair for telling the story in the song, Dylan, Cohen, Elvis Costello and Jacques Brel to name a few, are given new and startling life with Tammy’s subtle and inventive torch song vocals. “One of the finest soul and jazz singers that the UK has produced in the past two decades.” (**** BBC Online).  “An outstanding quartet” (The Independant).

Thu 7th Feb Traditional Song Session     8pm – 10pm
Traditional music sessions take place in pubs all over the city but traditional singing is also alive and well.  Here’s a chance to sing and listen to traditional songs in a friendly and informal environment. Admission is free, donations are welcomed.

Sun 10th Feb Bushbury Mountain Daredevils 8pm (Doors: 7.30pm)
Formed in 1992 The Bushbury Mountain Daredevils started life as street performers working all over the UK and Europe before finding success in the UK Folk/ Roots world, their songs appearing on albums alongside legends such as The Chieftains, Van Morrison and Tom Morello.   The band are returning in 2013 with a great new line up featuring three original members, Eddy Morton, Paul Hodson and Eric Barlow, and will be performing songs mainly from the first two albums, Bushbury Mountain and Peace and Justice.

Mon 11th Feb Andy White 8pm (Doors: 7.30pm)
Andy White, one of the great Irish singer-songwriters, tours the world with his 12 string guitar in one hand and a book of poetry in the other. He won Ireland’s top songwriting award, has worked with the likes of Peter Gabriel and Tim Finn, and been the A of ALT (the others being Tim Finn of Crowded House and Liam Ó Maonlaí of Hothouse Flowers). Originally from Belfast but now living in Australia, Andy continues to fill venues around the world with his winning personality and high-energy stage performances.  “I love this man and his music. Gary O’Dea veteran singer-songwriter from The Peoples Republic of Tipton, blending together elements of classic chilled out blues, country, funk n’ soul grooves, with the passion and attitude of old school punk/ rock n’ roll, to produce a rocking, groovin’ organic mix of rhythms to soothe your soul in these troubled times. “Off the radar for far too long, Gary O’Dea’s Cosmic Souls sees the Tipton singer-songwriter working with a new band, adding extra warmth to his cocktail of  blues, country, soul and rock n’ roll [with echoes of] ….Slim ChanceVan Morrison…and conjuring Martin Stephenson while referencing The Clash  (Mike Davies).
