Christmas countdown at Touchwood

Touchwood has planned a Christmas to remember this year. From the launch of Santa’s grotto, to giant snow globes, there will be plenty of fun festive activities for all the family. What’s more, with its extended opening hours, there’s even more time to enjoy Christmas shopping at your leisure this season.

Santa and his special guests arrive at Touchwood – Saturday 17 November

Santa, his reindeer, and penguins will be flying in straight from the North Pole to Touchwood’s Manor Walk entrance on Saturday 17 November to officially open his free grotto.  Those who come along between 1pm and 4pm will be able to hop on board Santa’s sleigh to meet the man himself, as well as his real-life reindeers and penguins. Guests will also be able to enjoy seasonal music and festive food samples from some of Touchwood’s top restaurants.

Santa’s Grotto – Sunday 18 November to Monday 24 December

Have you been naughty or nice this year? Touchwood’s popular free Christmas grotto will be returning again to the centre from Sunday 18 November.  All children under 10 years who visit the grotto, will walk away with a complimentary special gift from the man himself, after they’ve handed over their wish-list of course!

Let it snow – Saturday 8 December & Sunday 9 December

For the first time ever, a giant snow globe will be taking up residency in Library Square this December, and the centre is giving guests the chance to get their hands on a host of Christmas goodies, including a £250 Touchwood gift card, by stepping inside the globe and taking up its ‘snowflake challenge’.  From 1pm – 2pm on both days, guests will be invited to enter the snow globe and given 30 seconds to find one of 10 winning snowflakes buried deep within the snow. What’s more, throughout the weekend, guests will also be invited to step inside the globe and pose for a free festive photo to share with friends and family.

Merry ‘Kissmas’! – Monday 10 December to Friday 14 December

Touchwood is inviting local residents to share a Christmas kiss or two under the centre’s mistletoe archway this season– and all for a good cause! The archway will be in Poplar Arcade from Monday 10 December to Friday 14 December and guests will be able to kiss their loved ones under the festive mistletoe in return for a donation towards the Emergency Vehicle Services charity. What’s more, on Thursday 13 December from 5pm to 8pm, the centre has enlisted some gorgeous Touchwood guys and girls to give out Christmas kisses under the archway all in aid of this fantastic cause.

School Choir Competition – December

Throughout December schools from across the region will be taking to the stage to perform a number of festive favourites in a bid to be crowned choir champions. What’s more, the winning school will also walk away with £1,000 towards a school project of their choice. Why not get in the Christmas spirit and show your support?

Touchwood houses some of the best UK and international brands, designer retailers and independent boutique style stores.  For an extra-special Christmas shopping experience, why not head to Touchwood to shop and dine under the bright lights and take in the Christmas spirit.
