Bridget Christie brings hit show to The Public

After a hugely successful sell-out shows at the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe, comedian Bridget Christie will be performing her new show, War Donkey, at The Public in West Bromwich on Friday 26 October 2012.

The beautifully insane comic will be delivering with her brand of baffling stand-up with a brilliant political bite to the Black Country audience, after receiving rave reviews at the annual comedy festival.

War Donkey received 10 four star reviews and was featured on BBC2’s Culture Show as one of Sue Perkins’ Top 5 shows of the Fringe (alongside Tony Law’s Maximum Nonsense).  It was also picked as one of GQ’s Ten Essential Edinburgh Shows. “..abstract yet accessible, profound yet hilarious.”

A regular panellist on Radio 4’s News Quiz and Broadcasting House, Christie has recently filmed a cameo role in Anna and Katy’s new series for Channel 4, and a spot for Comedy Central’s new The Alternative Comedy Experience.  She has starred in a number of TV and radio comedies including Sarah Millican’s Support Group, Miranda Hart’s House Party, Cardinal Burns’ E4 series, and Harry Hill’s Little Internet Show, and has recently appeared live as a special guest on Alexei Sayle Presents.

Bridget’s previous Edinburgh shows have been comedy picks in The Metro, Independent, The Guardian, The Times, The Stage, The List, Scotsman, The Skinny, and The Sunday Times.  Her 2010 show, A Ant, was in the Top 10 best reviewed shows for that year and was featured in BBC2’s The Culture Show.

Bridget Christie: War Donkey will take place on Friday 26 October at 8pm.  Tickets are £10 and available from www.thepublic.com or by calling 0121 533 7161.
