Jane Evans, a specialist domestic violence parenting expert, is bringing her Tuning In Beyond Trauma training to Birmingham in December.
Having successfully worked with traumatised families for many years, Jane Evans is now using this experience to train others.
The Tuning In Beyond Trauma training is the first of its kind and it will give frontline workers insight and tools to tackle the devastating effects on parenting for those who have lived with trauma, like domestic violence and abuse. It will run on 5th & 6th December at The Bond, Fazeley Street.
Traditional parenting approaches are not effective for traumatised families as they need different strategies. Failure to address this leaves children vulnerable throughout life.
Anna Smith, Chief Executive at Survive, said: “This programme should be widely available to all parents who have left an abusive relationship.”
