Coventry’s Belgrade Theatre is hosting a week of one night music and dance shows on the Main Stage, including Eagles tribute band Talon, ABBA Mania, Magic of Motown, JA Story – The History of Jamaica Musical and classy burlesque show Shipwrecked.
Fresh from a smash hit tour of the USA, ABBA MANIA will bring the music of Abba to the Main Stage on Weds 3 October. This live show will feature all of the band’s classic tracks including Dancing Queen, Waterloo, Mamma Mia, The Winner Takes it All and Super Trouper.
The Magic of Motown will return to the Main Stage on Thurs 4 October to celebrate 50 years since the beginning of the famous Motown record label. This live show will feature classic hits from singing legends including The Supremes, Temptations, Four Tops, Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Martha Reeves.
On Fri 5 Oct, the renowned House of Burlesque are bringing the West End’s leading Burlesque show, Shipwrecked to Coventry starring international Burlesque showgirl Miss Tempest Rose. The story follows the House of Burlesque girls as they find themselves shipwrecked by a terrible storm on the Island of Temptation. Featuring draw-dropping costumes, unforgettable songs and dazzling choreography, Shipwrecked is an exotic Burlesque extravaganza combining classic Burlesque with comedy, cabaret and circus.
Coinciding with Black History Month, JA Story – The History of Jamaica Musical will make its way to the Belgrade on Sat 6 Oct to celebrate 50 years of Jamaican Independence. Featuring a range of music including reggae, ska, gospel, classical, folk and pop, the musical shows how Jamaica’s rich history influenced the world with arts, culture, entertainment, sports and much more.
