Working with the Clent based National Trust volunteer team, Helen will offer an insight into Clent as a space of inspirational beauty – writing in response to her experiences – and engaging with local communities, schools, on-site workers, and public walkers.

‘This is a wonderful opportunity to explore the writing practice within another community, meeting new people, and using new materials’, says Helen ‘ Clent is such an inspirational place, full of history, myth, and wildlife. I hope to encourage others to see it as a creative space, as well as a recreational one.’

A number of community based writing projects are set to take place over the coming months; beginning with the Archway Project – where the words and thoughts of local walkers will be collected, shaped, and carved into the body of wood.

‘This is a chance for you to share your words, and be a part of history’, says Helen.

Helen is a popular writer and tutor, working for institutions such as The Wenlock Poetry Festival, The Cheltenham Poetry Festival, The Stratford Literary Festival, Writing West Midlands, and the Poetry Society. Her first collection will be published by Perdika (London) later this year.
