On Tuesday 25 September The Public in West Bromwich will be launching three new classes for adult learners wanting to discover more about the world of art and digital media – An Introduction to Art, Digital Photography and Social Media.
Taking place 11am – 12.30pm, The Public’s Social Media class is designed to help learners discover ways websites such as Facebook, Twitter and Skype can be used as valuable tools to communicate with friends and family. The tailored classes are specifically for those with little to no previous experience.
Those with an interest in photography can learn new techniques on the Digital Photography course, each Tuesday, 2pm – 3.30pm. Ideal for beginners, throughout the course attendees will be able to gain a greater understanding of new photography practices and gain a great insight into how the latest software packages can be used to edit, publish and share results online.
In the evening, 7pm – 8.30pm, the Black Country arts centre will host an Introduction to Art class. Over the course of ten weeks, participants will be given an introduction to the basics of a variety of traditional artistic practices including sculpture, still life, photography and screen printing.
Linda Saunders, Managing Director of The Public said: “Adult education classes at The Public have always been incredibly popular. Our courses will provide adult learners with an excellent opportunity to try their hand at something new and develop skills.”
Courses cost £60 for ten weeks (£30 for concessions – see website for details). To enrol on a course call 0121 533 7161.
