Employment showcase seminar

West Midlands business leaders wishing to inject fresh talent into their workplace can find out about the benefits of apprenticeships at a networking seminar.

Leading Birmingham training provider GB Training, based in the city, is holding the event, the first of its kind for the company, on Thursday July 26.

During the 4-7pm networking session employers will get the chance to meet apprentices, currently working in hospitality, IT, management and business administration courses.

Lawrence Barton, GB Training director and board member of the Southside BID, said: “Now, more than ever is the time for forward-looking businesses to invest in their future workforce.

“We know large local employers understand the value of providing good quality apprenticeship places, we want to address the gap among SMEs across the region, who may be missing the opportunities offered by taking on an apprentice.

“As a family-run business which employs more than 200 staff we understand the constraints on time and resources so many SME businesses are under. However, we also see the direct value and the impact that taking on apprentices has to our company. I would encourage business to come along, network and have a chat to find out more.”

The seminar is being held at The Penthouse, above the Loft Lounge, in Bromsgrove Street, Birmingham, B5 6RG.
