Misha B joins Olympic & Jamaican Celebrations in Birmingham

To celebrate the Olympics and Jamaica’s 50th Independence Day, community organisation CUSH will be hosting an all day, two part event deemed to be Birmingham’s hottest multicultural celebration for 2012, Black Exposure Live – and your favourite X Factor contestant Misha B will be there. Being held at the prestigious New Bingley Hall on Saturday August 4th 2012, this culturally packed event will celebrate Jamaican culture in a fun, friendly and family atmosphere.

The day will kick off at 10am with Black Exposure Live Expo. Over 100 businesses will be exhibiting their range of products, selling a number of consumer goods including popular natural hair and beauty products, baked Caribbean foods, beautifully handcrafted jewellery and personalised ethnic greetings cards and money transfer services plus much more.

Singing sensation Misha B from The X Factor will make a personal appearance during Black Exposure Live Expo to meet lucky visitors who arrive at 10am and then later watch the superstar perform her debut single, “Home Run”, at Black Exposure Live Evening Concert from 7pm till late. The spectacular line up for the evening concert also includes soul legend Kenny Thomas, Alstallio, Christopher Ellis, the son of the legendary rock steady star Alton Ellis and home grown artists including Bingiman.

Breath-taking dance shows are guaranteed to blow you away during Black Exposure Live Expo. Creative dance crew PressuriZe will demonstrate the talents that young people possess today whilst a flamboyant fashion show featuring designs influenced by ethnic prints will show the creative flair we have within Birmingham. Intense barbering competitions will also brace the stage and ensure there is a diverse mix of entertainment for everyone who attends.

Informative seminars will be held throughout this all day mega family event. Olympic torch bearer, Leroy Henry, will deliver a seminar on the benefits of healthy eating and regular exercise and will also host a Q & A to answer all your fitness queries. Natural hair care specialists from “I Love Afro” will deliver a natural hair care seminar with handy tips on how to combat all your hair care woes! Other seminars not to be missed include a makeup master class by a top makeup artist! Black Exposure Lives’ exclusive nail bar will enable you to sit back and get pampered by Birmingham’s top nail technicians.

Black Exposure Live will cater to all age ranges and the dedicated children’s zone will feature a number of activities including a bouncing castle, ice cream factory and face painting facilities that will be sure to keep your children entertained whilst you indulge on Birmingham’s finest jerk chicken that will be served exclusively in the Cuisine Corner. Other mouth-watering delicacies being served on the day include African, Moroccan and Caribbean cuisine.
