He’s one of the most over-the-top characters on television and he’s coming to one of Birmingham’s most popular nightspots.
The dancer is appearing at the Kent Street club on Saturday July 7 in a one-off show called Louie Spence Live and Fabulous.
Simon Baker, event manager at the club, said: “We host a lot of great acts at the Nightingale but I’m sure there will be nothing quite like Louie, it’ll be the campest night the club has seen in a long time!”
The Kent Street venue in the heart of Birmingham’s gay village first opened in 1969 and has built up a loyal following among the gay and straight community.
It was rescued from receivership last year by Birmingham businessman Lawrence Barton.
Barton, who already runs the successful Loft Lounge, Penthouse and Village Inn venues in Southside has committed to invest more than £1million into the nightspot over the next few years.
