Free music lessons in June at Touchwood

Touchwood is giving local residents the chance to unleash their inner musician with the offer of free music lessons in June.

The workshops will be held to celebrate the arrival of Solihull’s Jazz and Blues festival, as Touchwood welcomes the Solihull Rock School to the centre.

Professional musicians from the school will be on hand from 11am to 3pm on Friday 1 June to Monday 4 June to give guests the chance to get to grips with a variety of instruments, including guitar, keyboard, drums and bass.

The workshops will be held in Touchwood’s dedicated music room on Crescent Arcade and guests who attend can even receive one-on-one lessons from one of Solihull Rock School’s fully qualified music tutors.

Lucy Burnett, marketing manager at Touchwood, comments: “The Jazz and Blues Festival is a big part of our calendar and we wanted to offer guests a new and interactive way of testing their musical skills.  The Solihull Rock School’s lessons offer a great opportunity for our guests to learn a new skill or brush up on an old one, whilst having fun.  What’s more these sessions are completely free of charge so we encourage all of our guests – young and old, experienced and novice – to come along and rock out.”

Touchwood houses some of the best UK and international brands, designer retailers and independent boutique style stores including John Lewis, Hollister, Superdry and Zara.
