Easter fun in Solihull’s Mell Square

Choc-tastic day of events including Easter egg hunt, face-painting, craft activities, bungee swing, land train and much much more!

With Easter just around the corner, Solihull’s youngsters are getting excited about the arrival of a certain seasonal bunny!

To celebrate this special holiday, Mell Square will be hosting a fun-filled range of activities in association with Solihull Council on Saturday April 7th.

From 11am to 4pm families from around the West Midlands are invited to come down to Mell Square and enjoy a free Easter Egg Hunt around the town’s streets! There will be four separate treasure trails taking place throughout the day at 11.00am, 12:30pm, 2.00pm and 3:30pm.

Miss Egg Timer Eggs Factor

On arrival, intrepid participants will be greeted by Miss Egg Timer, who will be hosting the hunt along with her floppy eared side-kick The Easter Bunny – that’s if the forgetful rabbit remembers to turn up of course!

The colourful pair will be asking children to help them remember where in Solihull the scatterbrained Easter Bunny has hidden the chocolate eggs – by solving a series of brainteasers in an effort to jog his memory.

The jam-packed event will also incorporate music, dancing, face-painting, story-telling, pancake making and bungee swings – not to mention a special edition of the Eggs Factor!

Youngsters can even try their hand at decorating Easter eggs with glitter pens or making their own cards using finger paints. And families shouldn’t forget to take a ride on the town’s famous land train as they choo-choo-choose their chocolate eggs from Mell Square’s stores!

Paul Round, Mell Square Centre Manager said: “Mell Square is fully geared up for a great Easter and we’re very excited about the arrival of Miss Egg Timer and The Easter Bunny, who will be trying to remember where they have hidden the Easter chocolate treats! There has never been a better time to get stocked up for the Easter Holidays whilst keeping the children entertained with a little help from our special seasonal guests and I look forward to welcoming everybody to Solihull for this fun-filled free event.”
