What’s on at the Assembly

After a quiet start to the year the Leamington Assembly kicks into life once more this week.

Eighties hitmakers the Housemartins begat nineties superstars the Beautiful South and now the band have evolved into the South. They’re at the Assembly on Thursday, with a formidable back catalogue and new songs from their forthcoming album. Tickets £22.50

One of the country’s foremost guitar virtuosi is in town on Friday. Former Genesis axeman and Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame inductee Steve Hackett will be performing his electric show that promises interpretations of his earlier work as well as stunning new material. Tickets £17.50

There’s a chance to see some top quality new talent on Saturday as the Bread Club presents the NME-approved Kabeedies with support from local bands Coves, Uncle Tim and the Light Cascades plus DJ sets.  Tickets £5
