“Sometimes life forces us to stop and smell the roses, but when you‟re stuck in a recession who can afford them? In Broken Britain, a young Black DJ, Craig, doesn’t just want to survive, he wants to thrive but is he willing to pay the price? The high flying baller lifestyle he presents to his girlfriend Kayla and best friend Jaxon isn‟t what it seems. Jaxon has never been dazzled by the city lights, never fallen victim to the hype but one day is forced to look at his life and ask “how did I get here?”

Produced by Toyin Omari-Kinch and Directed by Steven Luckie. “Empty” is a contemporary pertinent story about issues around masculinity.
