With their live show spawning from their successful ‘Peacock and Gamble Podcast’, which has been described by The Guardian’s Hazel Davis as “35 minutes of pure gold” and nominated for a Chortle award in 2011, the comedy double act head to the West Bromwich arts centre as part of a nationwide tour.

Emergency Broadcast is based on the concept that the ‘real’ show has been halted, so Ray Peacock and Ed Gamble take over and fill the time so the audience still have a show to watch.  After wowing critics at the Edinburgh Festival, and being described by Informed Edinburgh as  “filled with genuine wit and mischievous charm that is sure to delight anyone looking for laughs”, the high energy, audience participatory show is packed full of comedy magic.

With early shows featuring  a seance, a guide to world culture, a re-creation of the Stanford experiment, a tribute to Sister Act, and live Guitar Hero, visitors to The Public can expect the unexpected.

Ray Peacock, a prolific writer and comedy performer (Harry Hill’s TV Burp, Skins, Russell Howard’s Good News Extra), began presenting The Ray Peacock Podcast in 2007 alongside Raji James and Ed Gamble.  In 2009 The Peacock and Gamble Podcast was launched, with Ed Gamble co-hosting the show alongside Peacock.  Released each Monday on iTunes for free, the podcast continues to impress audiences and was recently listed in The Guardian’s top ten comedy podcasts.

Peacock and Gamble: Emergency Broadcast heads to The Public on Saturday 26 November at 8pm.  Tickets are £10 and are available from www.thepublic.com or by calling 0121 533 7161.
