More gigs at The Actress & Bishop

The Actress & Bishop on Ludgate Hill, St Paul’s Square (between Birmingham city centre and the Jewellery Quarter) continues to present free Sunday afternoon jazzy/bluesy/rocky gigs featuring some of the area’s top names plus a few guests from further afield.

11th September: The Toy Hearts – Red-hot blue-grass with a western swing

18th September: The return of The Road Runner – plus special guest TBA

25th September: Big Boy Bloater with guests Al Ganley (from Imelda May’s band) and Dean Beresford (fresh from touring with Duane Eddy).

The same people are responsible for new venue the Hideout, at Wishaw, Sutton Coldfield. Lined up here on Friday 16th September is Birmingham’s legendary rock’n’roller the Steve Gibbons Band.
