‘Musicalize’ in Birmingham

Following the successful launch of a brand new live music night held in Central London in April, Ben Anderson, Managing Director of Double M Entertainment is set to bring his organization‟s brand of live music events called „Musicalize‟ to his hometown of Birmingham on Saturday 27th August 2011 for a Bank Holiday Special.

So what is Musicalize? Simply put, it is “A night of amazing live music performed by some of the finest unsigned artists in the UK as well as breakthrough artists who are establishing themselves as credible artists in the industry.”

As the name of the event suggests, Musicalize is the perfect opportunity to not only listen to live music but also to socialize and network with a diverse crowd made up of fellow live music lovers and music industry professionals including A&R‟s, producers, record label representatives and professional radio DJ‟s. Media representation is also a strong feature on the night with professional media broadcasters filming as well as reporters, journalists and well respected Internet music bloggers all on the guest list.

At the events held in London so far, attendees have been treated to an array of musical talent from artists covering all genres including headline performances from the Grime MC Ghetts and RnB sensation Bluey Robinson, as well as artists such as female quartet Vida (managed by Oritse Williams from JLS), Kal Lavelle (currently supporting Ed Sheeran on his Summer Tour), Essex born Leeds based singer Hannah Trigwell (since awarded the St Helier Online Best Unsigned International Act award), Bianca Monet (managed by 1 Xtra DJ Ace) and many others.

The line up for the Birmingham event promises to be just as spectacular.

To be held in the 600 capacity Library room at the HMV Institute and hosted by Claira Hermet (GrimeDaily), attendees will be treated to performances from a variety of artists who are currently doing big things in the UK music scene. The night will feature performances from RnB male trio Encore and female urban pop quartet Duchess (both who have been supporting NDubz on their recent UK tour) as well as Essex born, RnB YouTube sensation Mike Hough.

Birmingham based Grime MC Musical Mini is set to bring some local flavour to the event which will also feature performances from Cherri V, Fem Fel, male duo In’Sight and actor-come-musician Arnold Oceng aka Snakeyman.

Based on the success of previous Double M Entertainment‟s events and the above line up it is safe to say that on Saturday 27th August all roads will lead to Musicalize.
