Possessing one of the greatest Soul voices of recent times, Eric Roberson has quietly built up a massive following in the US and the UK, through five self-financed albums released on his own Blue Erro label.

Roberson, also known to fans as Erro, began his successful song writing career creating hits for fellow artists, among them Jill Scott – who describes him as “a brilliant singer with a voice like red velvet cake” – Musiq Soulchild, Dwele, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Will Downing.

Roberson has recently released a new album called, “Mr Nice Guy?” The 15-song album, for release on September 5, features a cameo from veteran rapper Chubb Rock, who performs on the new single “Summertime Anthem”.

It will be Roberson’s eighth solo album, and for each of the past two years he has been nominated for a Grammy Award for performances from his prior album “Music Fan First”.

Guest support includes gospel favourite Melody from Nu Soul giving this soulful night a spiritual feel.  This event all takes place live at The Drum, in Birmingham on Saturday 15th October 2011.

Punch director Ammo Talwar says “Eric is a firm favourite on the classic soul scene here in Birmingham.  His live shows always hit the spot and his live band always rock”

Roberson will be supported by British Gospel artist Melody from the group Nu Soul and spinning tunes will be DJ’s E Double D, Jamo and Mike Biggz all compared by Gman.
