Funeral for a Friend

First up at the Wulfrun Hall are Funeral for a Friend on 23rd October. The band will be playing the festival circuit this summer as well as plugging their fifth album, Welcome Home Armageddon, with new single Broken Foundation released this month. Tickets £16.50.

A week later on 30th October the Wulfrun hosts Black Veil Brides, whose album Set the World on Fire is out now. Tickets £15.

4th November sees the arrival of Turisias, probably the only medieval folk-influenced Finish speed metal band, to the Wulfrun on their Stand Up and Fight tour. Tickets £12.

Before then another Scandinavian band, this time the funk-tinged Swedish rockers Royal Republic, are touring on the back of their first album We Are The Royal and play the Slade Rooms on 1st November. Tickets £6.

Trivium are headlining the third metal Hammer Defenders of the Faith tour at the Civic Hall on 2nd December. Support acts will be announced shortly. Tickets £21.50.

Tickets for all the above shows go on sale on Friday 17th June at 9.30am.

Coming up this week are Dio Disciples, comprising members of the late singer Ronnie James Dio, with support from eighties American rockers the Rods, at the Slade Rooms on Wednesday (£19.50).
