Fans of vintage music programmes will be in for a treat in Stourbridge on Saturday. Kaleidoscope, an organisation devoted to the research of vintage television in all forms, is staging its summer event at the town’s Talbot Hotel and the theme will be music on TV.
Amongst the guests will be former Top of the Pops presenters and Radio One djs Mike Read, Ed Stewart, Pete Murray and David Hamilton, while rare and vintage original footage of programmes such as the Old Grey Whistle Test and Pop Quiz will be shown. The films have been found from a wide range of sources including internet auctions and have in some cases been restored by Kaleidoscope.
Admission is free and the event runs from 12-7pm at the Talbot Hotel, High Street, Stourbridge.
