What’s On at the Assembly

Yellowman

Yellowman

On Monday night Yellowman will be at the Assembly. The Jamaican dub, reggae and dancehall star looked at one time as though he would be the successor to Bob Marley. He never achieved such fame, despite (or because of) a prodigious recording output that saw him release up to five alums a year during his early career. His live shows, fortunately, aren’t so lengthy. Tickets £15.

Marianne Faithfull

There was a time when the arrival of Marianne Faithfull in Leamington would have led to public outrage. Those days are long gone now, and her performance on Thursday should be a treat of torch songs and edgier self-penned material. Tickets £25.

John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett

As a complete contrast, John Otway & Wild Willy Barrett are in town on Sunday. The long history of Otway’s career is well documented, and now back (although probably not for very long) with his original partner Wild Willy, a night of musical lunacy is guaranteed. Tickets £13.50.
