What’s on at the Robin

Oli Brown Band

Oli Brown Band

Thursday 14th April sees the arrival of one of the most promising British blues guitarist to the Robin – Oli Brown. Winner of the 2010 British Blues Awards for both best male vocalist and best young artist, Oli’s 2010 album Heads I Win Tales You Lose received rave reviews and he has been praised for his fresh approach to the genre. Tickets £10.

On the following night From The Jam will be returning. The closest thing you’ll probably ever get to a full-blown Jam reunion, bassist Bruce Foxton and regular singer Russell Hastings are now joined by the former Big Country drummer, Mark Brzezicki. If you’re going you’ll know the words to every song. Tickets £20

Les McKeown’s Bay City Rollers

Talking of knowing all the words, that’ll be the case on Saturday as well, even if you don’t admit it. Les McKeown’s Bay City Rollers are on stage, probably without the sort of reaction he used to get.   Tickets £15.50

Sunday sees the usual free acoustic session in Woody’s bar at lunchtime and a Genesis tribute, The Watch, in the evening. Tickets £13
