On Wednesday there’s a new arrival to the Robin in the form of Green Head Man, a highly-rated psychedelic blues and soul band with an authentic retro-sixties feel and a strong live reputation. Tickets £5.
Thursday’s event is best summed up by its title – the Girls with Guitars Blues Caravan. British-born Dani Wilde has been likened to Aretha Franklin, but with a modern feel reminiscent of Joss Stone. 21year old Samantha Fish is already a veteran of the US blues circuit, having played amongst others the Chicago Blues Festival. Her fellow American Cassie Taylor (daughter of Otis) has worked with Gary Moore and been highly praised for her live show. Tickets £12.50.
Sunday sees the regular acoustic sessions in Woody’s Bar (free admission) while in the evening prog rockers Manning will be headlining. Tickets £10.
