We mentioned the Actress & Bishop’s Sunday afternoon sessions a few months ago. They’re still going and the next few weeks see some more than decent acts giving up their day off to perform:
17th April: Big Boy Bloater with Dean Beresford and Al Gere.
24th April: James Whoareya with Dean and Al again.
1st May: The Drugstore Cowboys (rockabilly/country/roots)
8th May: The Toy Hearts (bluegrass/western swing)
15th May: Steve Ajao (blues/jazz)
22nd May: Clarkesville Mountain Band (bluegrass/skiffle/country/roots)
29th May: Thomas Ford Trio (young jazz guitarist)
Admission’s free and the music starts at four-ish. The pub is on Ludgate Hill, off St Paul’s Square between Birmingham city centre and the Jewellery Quarter.
