Ringo Starr

Ringo Starr will be hitting the road this June for six very special UK dates with his All Starr Band, including a show at Symphony Hall, Birmingham on Monday 20th June.

Since beginning his career with The Beatles in the 1960s, Ringo Starr has been one of the world’s brightest musical luminaries. He has enjoyed a successful and dynamic solo career as a singer, songwriter and drummer, an active musical collaborator, and as an actor. Drawing inspiration from classic blues, soul, country, honky-tonk and rock ‘n’ roll, Ringo continues to play an important role in modern music with his solo recording and touring.

Ringo’s music, as a solo artist and as a Beatle, is permeated with his personality. His warmth and humour, and his exceptional musicianship have given us songs we all know and love, including With A Little Help From My Friends, Don’t Pass Me By, Octopus’ Garden, and his successful solo hits such as Photograph, Back Off Boogaloo and You’re Sixteen.

The show, a massive coup for Symphony Hall, is bound to be one of the highlights of the 2011 live calendar.

Tickets, priced £55.00 and £60.00 go on sale at 10am Friday 4th March via www.thsh.co.uk and the Town Hall and Symphony Hall Box Office on 0121 780 3333.
