Blues mauled by the Lions

Andy Munro watches Blues go down at Millwall.

Blues’ inconsistent run of form continued against Millwall and they are in danger of becoming the Grand Old Duke of York of the EFL with their topsy-turvy form.

In all honesty the defence was shambolic with Pedersen and Roberts the chief culprits. Midfield wasn’t much better, not helped by Bela and Graham showing that defensively they are still more wings than backs.

Up front Trou Deeney battled hard and. was rewarded with a goal but Scott Hogan had one of his increasingly frequent anonymous games

It was a disappointing performance but a predictable one when taking into account that our limit on signings means we have free transfers like Aneke, who missed an open goal of Ronnie Rosenthal proportions, in the starting eleve.

Either Way we need a result against Cardiff to stop a slide down the table. We definitely need some new blood in the transfer window but it’s likely to be a mixture of loans, frees and cast-offs – and that’s if we’re lucky.
