Tap & Tandoor celebrates first birthday

Celebrations for Solihull gastropub.

More than eighty guests attended the first birthday celebrations of Solihull’s Tap & Tandoor gastropub last week.

The independent Indian pub and eatery on Warwick Road invited loyal customers, local businesses and community members to help mark its twelve months in the town centre. Guests enjoyed prosecco, cocktails, craft beers and canapes at the private event on Thursday, June 13th. The celebrations continued into the weekend with a discounted Fizz Friday, birthday beer festival held in association with Solihull Round Table, and a fully booked Father’s Day.

Ajay Kenth, Tap & Tandoor owner, said: “It was great to welcome so many faces – old and new – to the pub. Despite the June downpours, we enjoyed a superb weekend of fun and look forward to continuing to serve award-winning home-style curries, Indian mixed grills and specially selected craft beers for many years to come.

“Thank you for supporting us and welcoming us to Solihull.”

Tap & Tandoor launched in June 2018 as an independent gastro pub created by husband and wife team, Ajay and Shivani Kenth (pictured). It specialises in craft beers, cocktails and Indian food, including small plates, mixed grills and home-style curries. The pub is the couple’s second venue, having opened the highly successful Zindiya Streatery & Bar in Moseley in February 2017.
