The Great Kings Heath Easter Egg Hunt is back

Holiday event returns for another year during school holidays.

Organised by Kings Heath Business Improvement District, the popular Great Kings Heath Easter Egg Hunt will return this Easter school holidays, from Saturday 8th April until Monday 24th April 2017.

The annual free community event will see local families on the hunt for twenty Easter Eggs hidden in shops and cafes throughout Kings Heath, to be in with a chance of winning delicious Easter treats generously donated by BID business William H Painter Funeral Directors.

To join in the fun and enter the competition, children must complete their trail map by finding the egg in each shop and writing down its number, and then return their completed forms to either Togademus Toys and Crafts, I Had One of Those, or Kings Heath Library.

The Easter eggs, which have been colourfully designed and decorated by local children and pupils at Colmore Infant School and St Dunstans Catholic Primary School, will also be displayed in an Easter ‘eggshibition’ in Kings Heath Library throughout the holidays.

Martin Mullaney, BID Town Centre Manager, said: “The Great Kings Heath Easter Egg Hunt is always a really popular activity with local families over the Easter holidays! Not only do the kids love decorating and hunting for the Easter Eggs, but the trail is also a great way to get the whole family out and about over the holidays, exploring Kings Heath and discovering new businesses. Of course, there are some very yummy Easter goodies up for grabs, too!

“This year, we have had so many lovely designs back from the children that we are displaying them in Kings Heath Library, so make sure you pop in whilst you’re on the trail and see if you can spot your egg!”

Trail maps are available to pick up from Togademus (Poplar Road), I Had One Of Those (York Road), or Kings Heath Library (High Street) from Saturday 8 April or available to download from www.enjoykingsheath.com.

Complete trail maps must be returned by midday on Monday 24th April. The winners will be announced on the Enjoy Kings Heath Facebook page.
