Birmingham charity fashion event “bigger than ever”

Good causes to benefit from premier event.

Forget Paris, Milan and London – all eyes will be on Birmingham this summer when models take to the catwalk on Sunday 25th June for the annual Elite Fashion Show.

The show, now in its third year, has grown year on year and this time around has attracted some of the world’s finest up and coming designers.

The brainchild of Mr Birmingham, model and student, Joshua Williams the event this year again takes place at the prestigious Macdonald Burlington Hotel in the city centre.

National and international designers will arrive in the second city for the event to showcase some of their stellar designs. As well as providing a catwalk for designers to showcase their new looks as top models strut their stuff, the event on June 25th also aims to raise £1,000 for Birmingham-based charity Love Brum which distributes funds to local good causes voted for by supporters.

The fashion spectacle has been proudly sponsored by Global Connect – the global Wi-Fi app.

Jordan Hurley, the CEO of Global Connect, said: “The Elite Fashion Show brings together designers from all over the world and connects them through their love of fashion. At Global Connect we too allow people to stay connected wherever they are in the world. This is a great opportunity for us to support a great event in our own local region for a great cause”.

Organiser Joshua said: “The show is still keen to hold its status as Birmingham’s premier fashion show. In previous years our designers have gone on to feature in Paris Fashion Week and London Fashion Week”.

He added: “The popularity of the fashion show has been rapidly increasingly since its inception in 2015 . This year is set to be bigger than ever with a host of celebrity guests and renowned international performers. The show appeals to much more than just those interested in fashion.”
