Region-wide egg hunt for Easter holidays

Eggs to appear in locations throughout West Midlands.

A handmade Easter Egg Hunt will be making its way to Warwickshire just in time for the Easter holidays this April.

Organised by the people behind The Handmade Fair, which is presented by Kirstie Allsopp, the handmade Easter Egg Hunt will take place from Saturday 8th April until Sunday 23rd April.

A series of large, hand-decorated eggs will appear throughout the region at key locations, including Touchwood Shopping Centre, Hatton Shopping Village, John Lewis at Grand Central, Custard Factory, the Mailbox, mac Birmingham, Museum of the Jewellery Quarter and Royal Priors Shopping Centre.

Each of the eggs – ranging from 3ft to 6ft tall – will be meticulously decorated by artists, exhibitors and makers who are involved in The Handmade Fair.

Highlights include a hand painted egg by Annie Sloan, one of the world’s most respected experts in decorative paint, colours and techniques, and a delicate suspended wire egg lovingly created by wirework artist, Lucy Elisabeth. Other artists taking part in the trail include TOFT, Artcuts, The Makers, Hobbycraft, Distinctly Decopatch and Bojangle Beads.

A social media competition will run alongside the handmade Easter Egg Hunt, where visitors will be encouraged to share a photo of themselves on Twitter or Instagram with their favourite egg to be in with a chance of winning tickets to The Handmade Fair.

To enter, visitors must simply take a selfie with one of the eight eggs and tag @HandmadeFair on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #HandmadeHunt.
